 | About MeI was born and raised in Manteo, North Carolina. Manteo is part of the chain of barrier islands known as the Outer Banks. In high school, I was captain of the cheer leading squad and led my team to numerous victories in competition. Dancing has always been a passion of mine as well. I danced for 15 years growing up.
After graduation, I attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for my freshman and sophomore years. In Wilmington I danced for the UNCW Dance Company my sophomore year. Since then, I have transferred to East Carolina University where I am pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in Communications. My concentration is Public Relations and I also have a minor in Business Administration. I am scheduled to graduate in May of 2013. I started working at Miller's Waterfront Restaurant during the summer at age 17 as a hostess. At 18, I started working as a server. I greet customers and attend to their tables. I confirm with customers to make sure they are enjoying their food and correct anything they need. Working in a restaurant on the Outer Banks during the busy tourist season really helped with my people skills and has allowed me to get a lot of work experience. |
